In the 13th Senate district of the State of Ohio, Robert G. Rousseau (of Lorain) has filed to run for re-election to the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee (for the male seat).  The Ohio Republican Party has one male and one female central committee member for each of the state senate districts.

Lorain resident Randall Newman has filed to run against Rousseau in the March 2012 Lorain County primary for this seat.  State central committeemen and committeewomen make important decisions about Ohio GOP party leaders, as well as other decisions. On the female side, the 13th district central committeewoman seat is being run for by candidates Kirstren Penton Hill and Joyce Houck.
