Michael (Mike) Musto, a Columbia Township trustee, has filed paperwork to run as a candidate in the 2012 Republican primary election for Lorain County, Ohio Commissioner for the seat currently held by Democrat Commissioner Lori Kokoski.  The Republican and Democratic primary elections for Lorain County offices will be held in March of 2012.  Kokoski faces a primary challenge of her own from Richard Resendez.

Also running in the Republican primary in 2012 for Kokoski’s commissioner sear is Robert Meilander, the mayor of Kipton.

The other Lorain County Commissioner seat up for voters to choose in 2012 is that of current commissioner Ted Kalo (Democrat of Lorain).  He has filed for re-election, and Amherst City Councilman Phil Van Treuren has filed to run in the Republican primary race for this seat.
