Location: Black River Landing in Lorain (just east of Broadway) Cost: $2 per person daily. Children 12 & under free.

Opening Ceremonies at 6:00pm on Friday.

Sir Leslie Jennings (lead vocalist) has been a touring entertainer since the age of 15. Starting in Gospel and quickly branching out to R&B, Soul, Jazz, Motown, and other genres, he has toured all over the US, Canada, and Japan. Also an avid songwriter/producer, he has produced 4 R&B albums since settling in the Lorain area. As President/Founder of M.U.S.I.C. World HQ, he offers technology-related community workshops to adults and youth to enhance their lifestyles. Known as Sir Leslie in the music industry, he believes music is a gift to be shared to touch those around you in a positive way.

Lorain International Parade
Time: 11:30am Location: Broadway Ave. (17th St. to West Erie)

The Lorain International Parade features over 100 units representing all that our community is proud of. The grand stand will be at Lorain’s City Hall on West Erie Ave. Each unit is announced as they pass by the judges, Grand Marshals and Honorary Grand Marshal.

The All American Judges will be selecting winners in various parade categories. Winners will be announced at the Bazaar following the parade.

Master of Ceremony is Don Vincent.

The Lorain International Festival is one of most famous summer events in all of Lorain County Ohio, and celebrates Lorain’s famous heritage as “the International City.”  The festival and bazaar features music, food, traditions and costumes from the City of Lorain’s many different vibrant nationalities.  The International Parade is a local and well-attended favorite event in conjunction with the bazaar and festival.

The 2012 Lorain International Festival  and Bazaar will feature live entertainment and music performances, food vendors and booths, games, events, and ethnic cuisine.  The event usually takes place next to the Black River at the Black River Landing.  There is free parking and covered dining areas.  Other special events include Black River tours, lighthouse tours, souvenirs and crafts, children’s and kids games, and live music from cultures including Greek, Irish, Croatian, Romanian, Filipino, Russian, Hungarian, Mexican, German. Puerto Rican, and Slovak.
