Judy Nedwick, a Democrat, is the elected Recorder of Lorain County, Ohio.
As Lorain County Recorder, Judith Nedwick and her office is tasked with keeping track of real estate records, land ownership, liens and encumbrances. The work of the Lorain County Recorder’s Office allows residents to buy land, obtain assurances of clear titles, and use land as security to lend money.
The role of the county recorder includes tracking, indexing and filing documents that have to do with Lorain County real estate, land ownership, encumbrances, leans and titles for purposes such as identifying ownership history. These documents, files and records are able to be used by public citizens, historians, examiners interested in titles for land, and attorneys.
The department is funded by the Lorain County Commissioners board, made up of Ted Kalo, Lori Kokoski and Tom Williams.
UPDATE: Nedwick faces no challengers in the 2012 Democratic Primary Election for her current seat, and no Republican challengers filed for the seat. No Independent candidates have yet filed for the seat.
