Lorain County Ohio 2012 Online Voting: Can I Vote On Line?
Is it possible for Lorain County OH residents to vote online with a computer on the Internet in 2012?
Answer: no, unfortunately Lorain County Ohio residents cannot vote online in the 2012 primary or general elections with an Internet ballot on the computer.
There is a lot of interest in online voting because this is a presidential election year (Democrat President Barack Obama vs. his Republican opponent, whether it will be Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry or Rick Santorum).
There will also be Lorain County election campaigns with candidates of interest, including two races for Lorain County Commissioner (Ted Kalo’s seat and Lori Kokoski’s seat), Sheriff and Clerk of Courts.
In order to vote, you first need to make sure you are registered to vote (by visiting the Lorain County Board of Elections with your proper identification). Registered voters have a few different options for casting their ballots. You can vote at your polling location on election day; you can vote early by visiting the Board of Elections within 30 days before the election; or you can order an absentee voting ballot from the BOE that will be mailed to your home.
