Lorain County Fair 2012 Schedule, Events, Fairgrounds & Sign Up
2012 is the 167th year of the Lorain County Fair! Information on fair schedule, directions, events, fairgrounds & sign up
The Lorain County Fair, which has been a treasured tradition for locals since 1846, is without a doubt one of the best county fairs in the country. It is held annually in Wellington, Ohio, and is actually the second-largest event of its kind in the entire state! The Lorain County Fair doesn’t just provide residents with great entertainment, rides, games and food . . . more importantly, it educates our children and adults about local farming, 4H and animals, and gives us a family-friendly and exciting way to have fun with our loved ones.
In 2012, the Lorain County Fair will run for seven days: August 20th through August 26th.
Admission tickets for the fair are $4.00 for adults, but children who are 8 years old and under can get in for FREE! Also, active duty military members can get into the fair for free every day if they show their military identification, and senior citizens (60 years of age and older) can get into the fair for free on Thursday.
Keep in mind that you can also save money on attendance by purchasing season passes and membership passes for the Lorain County Fair. For just 20 bucks, you can get seven entrance passes into the fair, which comes out to a total savings of eight dollars. Not bad for people who want to come back to the fair multiple times!
The Lorain County Fair is also famous for its Midway rides (which are owned and operated by Bates Brothers). You can buy tickets for the rides and games for one dollar per ticket, but the number of tickets required may differ depending on what ride you choose.
