Ron (Ronald) Nabakowski, a Democrat, is the elected Lorain County Clerk of Court of Common Pleas.  The Lorain County Clerk of Courts handles many administrative functions for the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, including retention of records, reporting of records, maintaining records, marriage records and creating records.  The Clerk of Courts is also in charge of  disbursing funds for the court.  The department is funded by the Lorain County Commissioners.

Additionally, Lorain County Clerk of Courts Ronald Nabakowski also is in charge of the maintenance and preparation of Certificate of Title records for watercraft and vehicles owned by Lorain County residents.  New titles are issued at a rate of around 100,000 per year.
