Jason Schmidt: 2012 Lorain County Clerk of Courts Candidate

Jason Schmidt is a Republican candidate running in the 2012 general election for Lorain County Clerk of Courts.

Schmidt, from Wellington, has no primary race opponent.  In the general election, he will face current Lorin County Clerk of Courts Ron Nabakowski, a Democrat from Amherst.  Nabakowski also faces no opponent in the Democratic primary election.

The Lorain County Clerk of Courts handles many administrative functions for the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas, including retention of records, reporting of records, maintaining records and creating records.  The Clerk of Courts is also in charge of  disbursing funds for the court.  The department is funded by the Lorain County Commissioners.
