Don Calhoun, 2012 Lorain County Commissioner Candidate (Democrat)

Democrat Don Calhoun has filed to run for the Lorain County Commissioner seat held by Ted Kalo in the 2012 Primary Election

A total of three Democratic candidates have filed to run for the Lorain County Commissioner seat currently held by Ted Kalo in the March 2012 Democrat primary election for the seat.  They are Kalo, Berry Taylor, and newcomer Don Calhoun of the City of Amherst.  On the Republican side, Amherst City Councilman At-Large Phil Van Treuren faces no primary challenge for the nomination to take on the Democrat winner in the November 2012 race.

The other Lorain County Commissioner seat up for election in 2012, which is held by City of Lorain Democrat Lori Kokoski, also has a crowded field of candidates who will be voted on in the primary.  On the Democrat side, candidates Kokoski, Rich Resendez and former Elyria Mayor Bill Grace will face off for the nomination; on the GOP side, Kipton Mayor Bob Meilander and Columbia Township Trustee Michael Musto are seeking the nomination.
