Courageous Amherst Police Officers Get Medals of Valor
At the Amherst City Council meeting tonight, Police Chief Joseph Kucirek presented Medals of Valor to two APD officers who displayed outstanding courage in the line of duty.
Patrolman C. Alten and Patrolman T. Donaldson both played vital roles in rescuing an elderly woman from a house fire in December of 2011. They were nominated for Medals of Valor for the heroism they showed that night, and the Chief awarded them with the medals tonight in front of council.

Congratulations to Patrolman Alten, Patrolman Donaldson and the Amherst Ohio Police Department. This is just another example of how lucky we are to have such an outstanding police force protecting our community.
