Fall is here, the trees are shedding their leaves, and it’s time for a quick reminder: the City of Amherst will be starting its yearly leaf pickup very soon! The dates and times for leaf pickup in different sections of the city in 2011 are below.
Remember: please rake your leaves to the tree lawn on the edge of the street, but NOT in the street! And keep in mind that the city does NOT pick up bagged leaves, grass clippings and tree branches . . . just leaves. Allied Waste will pick up those other items on your regular garbage days.
