Chase Ritenauer Is The Democratic Nominee For Mayor Of Lorain, Ohio

Chase Ritenauer is the Democratic nominee for the Mayor of Lorain, Ohio in the 2011 General Election (election day is November 8, 2011).  Ritenauer defeated incumbent Mayor Tony Krasienko in the 2011 primary election to become the Democrat nominee.

Also running in the Lorain Ohio Democratic primary election for mayor was Mitchel Fallis, a former Lorain At-Large Councilman.

Ritenauer was formerly employed as safety service director for the city of North Olmsted, Ohio.  He is the grandson of Fred Ritenauer, a former Democrat Lorain County Commissioner.

Chase Ritenauer will face off against Republican Mayoral Candidate Tim Baxter in the general election, when Lorain voters will choose their next Mayor.

UPDATE: Ritenauer won the general election by a large margin and will be sworn in as the next Mayor of Lorain Ohio in January 2012.
