Amherst, Ohio Parks and Recreation Locations
Amherst Ohio is a beautiful community that has a wealth of beautiful park and recreation locations for residents and visitors to enjoy. These include Maude Neiding Park and Anna Schmauch Memorial Swimming Pool, Beaver Creek Reservation, DePaola and Jaworski Parks, and Veterans Park.
In the spring and summertime, Amherst parks come alive with beautiful vegetation, local families and recreation seekers. The playground at Maude Neiding Park is a favorite location for local children and families, as is the swimming pool.
Beaver Creek Reservation is one of the gems of northeast Ohio, and many residents use the paved path leading through the park for exercise and sightseeing. Joggers, dog walkers and people who enjoy the outdoors can be seen walking through the Beaver Creek woods during the temperate seasons of the year.
In addition to the Amherst Ohio parks, there are also many recreation programs that run each year and are not affiliated with city government. These include the Amherst Summer Rec Program; the Amherst Community Chorus; the Amherst Athletic Association; the Amherst Youth Football Association; Amherst Adult Swim; Amherst Youth Soccer Association; and the Workshop Players.
