Amherst Ohio News: Amherst Times Newspaper
In spite of the fact that Amherst, Ohio is a relatively small community, we are lucky to be served by no less than three local newspapers: the Amherst News-Times, the Chronicle-Telegram and the Morning Journal. All three of these newspapers cover Amherst event and news, although the Amherst News-Times is the publication most closely identified with the community.
The residents of Amherst are very involved in the community, and they often write letters to the editor to all three local newspapers to share their points of view. The city itself has a low crime rate and is not often featured in any kind of sensational news stories, but our community events, parades, festivals, and local government news is often covered.
Many Amherst residents subscribe to all three local newspapers, or have then delivered to their homes. The Morning Journal is probably the most widely read newspaper in the city (and has the highest countywide distribution), followed by the Chronicle Telegram. The Amherst News-Times itself has a smaller distribution, but is still well-known to residents.
Advertising rates in these local Amherst newspapers differ greatly and depend on the time of year and what section of the paper you wish to advertise in. Additionally, all three papers have active websites that feature stories that appear in the print versions. While the Morning Journal and the Chronicle-Telegram are daily papers, the Amherst News-Times is published weekly.
Anyone who is interested in seeing any of these Amherst newspapers can pick up copies at local gas stations, mini marts or supermarkets.
